Following the successful financial restructuring of the Group last year, the Recovery Plan outlined by the Directors is now well underway and beginning to deliver positive results. The early indications of an improving financial trend in the current financial year have continued in spite of an ongoing challenging trading environment in the High Street bar sector for many operators.

| Court Sanctions Restructuring |

At the Court Meeting and the Extraordinary General Meeting of SFI held on 7 May 2004, shareholders approved the Scheme of Arrangement and voted in favour of the Extraordinary General Meeting Resolutions proposed in the Circular sent to shareholders on 7 April 2004.
The Court sanctioned the SFI Restructuring, and the Scheme became effective on 28 May 2004.

| Appointment of Mark Robson as Finance Director |

Mark Robson (Age 41), currently Finance Director of Claire's Accessories UK Limited, will join the Board of SFI on 7 June 2004. Mark is a Chartered Accountant and was Finance Director of Alldays PLC from 2001 to 2003 where he was part of the team that recovered value for stakeholders prior to the sale of Alldays to the Co-op. Prior to joining Alldays in 1995 Mark was with Rank Xerox.
